A plea and sentencing hearing in Fond du lac County Circuit Court for a Markesan man accused of phoning in bomb threats to several businesses has been delayed. The hearing for Aaron Schreiber will be rescheduled when charges against Schreiber in Dodge County are resolved. Schreiber is accused of phoning in bomb threats to businesses, a library and hospital in Waupun and businesses in Beaver Dam, Fox Lake and Ripon. He is also accused of officiating high school basketball games even though he is a convicted child sex offender. Schreiber also faces multiple charges in Dodge County where a telephone scheduling conference is scheduled for January 12th.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
