On December 13th, 2014 at approximately 10:19 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle roll over crash on County Highway G and State Highway 16/60 in the Town of Lowell, Dodge County. A 17 year old male was operating a 2008 Chevrolet south on Cth G, north of Sth 16/60. The Chevrolet failed to negotiate a curve, went off of the roadway and vaulted. The 17 year old male was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. There were no passengers in the Chevrolet and no other vehicles involved in the crash. The victim has been identified as Austin M. Reifsnider from rural Juneau. Agencies assisting at the scene were: Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, DCERT, Lowell and Reeseville Fire Departments, Clyman and Juneau Fire Departments and Reeseville First Responders. The crash is currently under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
