A North Carolina woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing a Medford man in the village of Eden last night. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the incident was reported shortly after 10:30pm Monday following an argument between the couple in the area of 124 Manor Hill Dr. The victim was transported to the hospital with a stab wound to his upper back. A 27 year old female from North Carolina, was taken into custody in connection with the incident. Both parties are not from the area and there is not a threat to the general public. The names of the individuals are being withheld as the incident still remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
