12-31-14 armed standoff in waupun ends peacefully

A nearly six hour armed standoff in Waupun has ended peacefully.   A 22 year old Waupun man was taken into custody without incident around 2pm Tuesday.  Waupun police were called to a residence at 8am Tuesday for a report of an armed man who had barricaded himself in the home and was threatening to harm himself.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s SWAT team was called shortly after 8am.  […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The state Supreme Court says manure qualifies as a pollutant as defined in an insurance policy.  The case began in 2011 when state environmental officials notified West Bend dairy farmer Robert Falk that manure spread on his fields had contaminated his neighbors' wells.  The neighbors demanded compensation. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The state Claims Board has rejected Canadian Pacific Railway's request for more than half a million dollars in compensation for helping develop a high-speed rail plan before Gov. 12-30-14 fdl armed standoff ends peacefully

Nobody was injured after Fond du Lac police received a call that a man was threatening to shoot himself yesterday.  Police surrounded a home on West Follett Street after receiving a report that a man armed with an assault rifle was making threats to harm himself.  There was also a concern that a young child was in the home.  A man was later taken into custody without incident.

12-30-14 bail set at a half million dollars cash for dodge county homicide suspect

A Milwaukee woman accused of killing a Town of Fox Lake man in August has made her initial Dodge County Circuit Court appearance. Bail was set at 500 thousand dollars cash for 30 year old Kriscilla McHenry. She's charged with first degree intentional homicide in the death of 43 year old Michael Soeller. According to a criminal complaint, Soeller was stabbed 38 times at his Town of Fox Lake apartment. […]
