Fond du Lac police are looking for a man who allegedly made threats against workers at the Solutions Center warming shelter. According to a police report the 67 year old man threatened to shoot the windows out of the building. The man became upset when he was told to leave after getting into a fight with another man at the shelter. The man also allegedly called the warming shelter the same evening, threatening to cause trouble if staff didn’t let him back in, according to police reports. Police said they would increase patrol around the shelter.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
