Fond du Lac police are investigating a spree of vandalism incidents involving near downtown buildings and vehicles this week. Police say at least ten incidents were reported at several locations including the Wells Manufacturing building on South Brooke Street and the former Casa Anna Cheese building on Forest Avenue. Police say there were similar incidents reported in other areas of the city as well. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 906-5555 or Crime Alert 322-3740.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
