A state Triple A spokesman says gas prices in Wisconsin continue to fall at a record rate. Gas prices are at $1.99 a gallon at some Fond du Lac stations and Nick Jarmuscz says the statewide average is getting closer to falling below two dollars a gallon. “We’re looking at our 102nd day of a national average decline which is a record,” Jarmuscz told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. Jarmuscz says at this point how low gas prices will go is anybody’s guess.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
