A Fond du lac man has been convicted of exposing himself to young girls at Taylor Park last summer. At a plea and sentencing hearing in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court, William Thomas, pleaded no contest to three counts of exposing genitals to a child. Two counts were dismissed and read into the record. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Thomas approached the girls while riding his bicycle. Judge Robert Wirtz ordered a pre-sentence investigation and a sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 26th.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
