1-23-15 health insurance marketplace sign-up deadline

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is reminding Wisconsin residents there is a little less than a month to go to sign up for coverage through the Health Insurance marketplace .  DHHS Consortium administrator Jackie Garner tells AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program the open enrollment deadline is February 15^th:   Garner says so far more than 177,000 Wisconsin residents are signed up for coverage.  She says after last year’s rocky start things are much easier now.  “It has gone much smoother.  We’ve made a lot of changes to the system, a lot of upgrades,”  Garner said.  Garner says in the first month of open enrollment, 90 percent of Wisconsin consumers who selected health insurance plans were eligible for financial assistance to lower their monthly premiums.  To sign up log on to: https://www.healthcare.gov
