A man was flown to the hospital after apparently shooting himself at the 151 Scenic Overlook in the Township of Taycheedah. Shorty before noon Thursday the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suicidal subject and deputies found the man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The subject was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center via Flight for Life Medical Helicopter. The condition of the man is unknown.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
