OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — An accident on Lake Winnebago has taken another life. The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office says an 8-year-old boy has died after he was pulled from the icy lake water Sunday. The child’s father died shortly after their Jeep broke through the ice about 7 a.m. The victims were from Sussex. Authorities say the two were on the lake to ice fish when they broke through.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
