1-28-15 fdl superintendent likes senate version of school accountability bill

todayJanuary 28, 2015

A Senate committee listened to testimony Tuesday on a bill that has no sanctions for failing public schools. Tuesday’s hearing was held as the Senate, Assembly and Gov. Scott Walker are trying to find common ground on the issue that’s proven difficult to solve  in recent years. Fond du lac School superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says he likes the senate version much better the assembly bill.  “It looks at public schools differently than voucher schools.  It gives us all the same levels of accountability,”  Sebert told WFDL news.  “It emphasizes one assement that we would all take, it keeps the current verbiage on report cards as opposed to going to the letter grading system.”
