Fire destroyed a utility pole shed at a town of Oakfield residence in Fond du lac County. Firefighters were called to the scene at N3932 Hickory Road Friday afternoon to find the shed fully engulfed in flames. Fire destroyed all of the contents in the shed and one calf housed in the shed died. The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious but remains under investigation.

More than a dozen cats rescued from a Campbellsport area trailer home earlier this month have been euthanized. The Fond du Lac Animal Shelter manager says 15 of the 42 cats removed from the trailer suffered from multiple medical problems and were euthanized.
