1-15-15 fdl student seriously injured in accident in high school woodwork shop

A Fond du lac high school student was seriously injured in an accident in the high school wood working shop this week.  Assistant police chief Steve Thiry says two boys were fooling around near the end of the school day Wednesday when one of the boys fell and suffered a severe laceration to his head.  Fond du Lac fire chief Pete O’Leary says the student was transported to the hospital.

1-15-15 fdl fire department promotions

Two longtime Fond du Lac firefighters have retired and five officers were sworn into office this week after receiving promotions.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says assistant chief Randy Cunzenheim and engineer Brian Fox have retired.  Five firefighters received promotions and were administered the oath of office before this week’s city council meeting.  Captain Erick Gerritson replaces Cunzenheim as assistant chief,  Joe Maramonte was promoted to captain,  firefighter-paramedic Carl Bahr was […]

1-15-15 statewide gasoline average below $2 a gallon

1-15-15 fdl man convicted in shooting incident

A Fond du Lac man arrested in a shooting incident has been convicted as part of a plea agreement.  At a hearing Wednesday afternoon 22 year old James Tucker Junior pleaded no contest to reckless injury. 1-15-15 brandon garage fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a home in Brandon.  Firefighters from several departments were called to the scene at W12534 Liner Road for a report of an attached garage that was on fire.    Fire Departments from Brandon, Waupun Alto, Markesan, Ripon, Lamartine, Rosendale and Fox Lake were called to the scene.  The Red Cross was also called to assist.

1-15-15 fdl teen cited for sending fake text

A Fond du Lac teenager was arrested after police say he sent a fake text message to a friend that he shot himself and needed to go to a hospital.  Police say the 17 year old boy was a passenger in a car when he sent the message.  The friend called police who located the boy shortly thereafter.  He admitted to officers he sent the text as a joke.   He […]
