1-9-15 waupun man charged in armed stand off

A Waupun man involved in a nearly six hour armed standoff in Waupun has been charged.   Kenneth Becker Jr. made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Thursday  and bail was set at $20,000 cash with conditions not to possess any firearms or have any contact with his ex-girlfriend.   But Becker refused to sign the bond form so he is being held in jail without bond.  According to a […]

1-9-15 rescued cats recovering at fdl animal shelter

1-9-15 governor-state budget

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Governor Scott Walker says he will deliver a state budget on February 3rd that cuts property taxes, but he's making no promises about lowering income or corporate taxes. Walker delivered that news at an economic forecast luncheon at a meeting of the Wisconsin Bankers Association. The state faces a $2.2 billion shortfall for the budget that begins in July and runs for two years.
