At about 4:37 p.m., the Beaver Dam Fire Department was notified of smoke coming from the building at 1322 N. Spring Street in the City of Beaver Dam. An electrical problem apparently started a fire that damaged the basement of a home in North Fond du Lac. Firefighters were called to the scene on Minnesota Avenue Sunday afternoon to a report of a fire in the basement of a home. An officer on the scene reported heavy smoke in the basement and flames visible. The fire was contained to the basement of the home. No injuries were reported.
