2-3-15 gas prices up again in wisconsin

todayFebruary 3, 2015

Wisconsin motorists are noticing something at the gas pump, they haven’t seen in quite some time…rising gas prices.  AAA Wisconsin spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular is again above $2 a gallon.  ‘The state average right now is about $2.06.  Its a little less than that as you go south and east of Fond du Lac.  If you go north and west it will probably be a little higher,”  Jarmuscz told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.  Jarmucsz says it appears the rise is due to problems at some Midwest refineries…giving hope that prices could dip below $2 a gallon before the summer travel season begins.  “There’s a little bit of a supply pinch that’s causing prices to go up a little bit.  Depending on how long it takes to resolve those issues we may see prices come back down again before they go back up for the summer driving season.”   Jarmuscz says barring any major increase in the global price of crude,  AAA expects the national average to remain below $3 a gallon during 2015.
