Fond du Lac police are investigating the possibility that several business burglaries reported over the last week may be related. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says burglaries were reported over the weekend at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Gremmer and Associates, MidWest Dental Care and an attempted burglary at Preferred Chiropractic. “We are looking to see if these are possibly connected to a couple burglaries we had about a week ago at the Cobblestone Square and also the Oasis restaurant,” Klein told WFDL news. “We’re looking to see if those are connected and also this past Saturday we had one reported at the Rolling Meadows restaurant.” Klein says anybody with information is asked to call police.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
