2-9-15 anthem hacking

The northeast Regional Director for the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau Says Anthem customers or former Anthem customers need to take action now to ensure their identity is protected following the hacking attack against the nation’s second largest insurer.  Susan Bach says the hacking attack against Anthem is much worse than the recent hacking attacks against Target or Home Depot.  Bach says the first step is placing a credit freeze on your social security number and credit report.  She says financial identity theft is not the only concern,  “They may use that for assuming your identity for a job or recieiving medical benefits or government benefits,”  Bach told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.  Bach says medical data can also be used to extort patients.
