Two men charged in connection with the alleged thrill-killing of 15 deer in Green Lake County have pleaded not guilty. Nineteen year old Grant Boese, of Ripon and 18 year old Steven L. Steger, of Princeton, are charged with more than 120 counts, including discharging a firearm from or across a highway and hunting after revocation. The poaching incidents allegedly occurred Nov. 22 and 28 in the towns of St. Marie, Princeton and Brooklyn.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
