The Fond du Lac School District is one of several across the state releasing student information to a statewide school choice group. School district parents received an email this week that School Choice Wisconsin made an open records request for directory data of all Fond du Lac School District students including names, addresses, telephone numbers and grade levels. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert, says the district has been told the data will be usd to highlight school choice and not used for commercial purposes.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
