A boil water advisory continues in the village of Brandon until test results on water samples are received…probably sometime this weekend. Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the advisory was issued Thursday following a water main break In the village. “In the village of Brandon they had a little over 50,000 gallons of water that leaked out and so that drops the (water) pressure,” Mueller told WFDL news.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
