In the wake of a teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student the North Fond du Lac School superintendent says the district is moving forward to make sure every student is safe. Forty five year old Dominic Carmona is charged with sexual assault of a student by school staff. He is accused of having sexual contact with a 16 year old female special education student. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says Carmona had been an assistant special education teacher at Horace Mann High School for about five years. “”Safety is our number one priority for all of our kids,” Sadoff told WFDL news. “Anytime that we hear where that is in jeopardy it causes concern.” Sadoff says while there is nothing at this point to indicate there were any other victims, the school district is cooperating with law enforcement in their continuing investigation. Carmona is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $30,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday.
