MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Federal aid for Wisconsin highways has dropped by 3.6 percent, nearly $28 million, over the five years ending in 2013.  That's according to data obtained by The Associated Press. 2-23-15 dodge county security upgrades

Dodge County officials are looking to make security upgrades at the Dodge County courthouse and jail for the first time since the facility was built 15 years ago.  Dodge County administrator Jim Mielke says the present  courthouse security system is outdated and state of the art security features are needed from a safety standpoint.  Mielke says upgrades are also needed in the jail.

The Oakfield High School girls basketball team recently raised more than $1,300 to benefit the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation’s Caring for You Fund.  The fund was established for families requiring assistance with basic life needs they are unable to afford during cancer treatment, or care for other long-term illnesses. 2-20-15 waupun council to discuss potential prison tower budget cuts

The Waupun Common Council will discuss proposed cuts that would affect the Waupun Correctional Institution at a meeting next week.  Under his budget proposal, governor Scott Walker would eliminate about 400 positions across state government, including third-shift prison  guards positioned in towers. 2-20-15 boil water advisory in brandon

A boil water advisory continues in the village of Brandon until test results on water samples are received…probably sometime this weekend.  Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the advisory was issued Thursday  following a water main break In the village.  "In the village of Brandon they had a little over 50,000 gallons of water that leaked out and so that drops the (water) pressure,"  Mueller told WFDL news.
