LODI, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say one person is in custody after officials at Lodi high school reported they had a “credible threat” of a possible gun on school property. Police say they were called to the school at 11:35 a.m. today, and the school went on lockdown. Authorities searched the school. Police took one person into custody, but they have not said whether a gun was found.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
