Fond du lac police are looking for a suspect in a vandalism incident at the police memorial at Hamilton Park. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says someone poured a sticky substance over the memorial. “There was some type of substance that was poured over the memorial. Our community service officers were able to get it cleaned up for the most part,” Klein told WFDL news. Klein says its always disturbing when this type of thing occurs. Anyone with information is asked to call police 906-5555 or crime alert at 322-3740.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
