3-14-15 burglary suspect appears in court

A Fond du Lac man arrested in connection with burglaries  at  two Fond du Lac businesses has made his initial court appearance in separate retail theft cases.  Bryan Wanatabe is charged with misdemeanor retail theft and resisting an officer.  He is accused of thefts at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, DJ Food Mart and the Marathon gas station.   Bail was set at $500 cash.  He has not yet been charged in connection […]

3-14-15 marian university veteran of the month

Eric Hanrahan was selected as Marian University’s March Veteran of the Month. Hanrahan served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001-2005, during which time he was deployed to Iraq where he served as a member of the military police. 3-14-15 fdl woman sentenced in child abuse case

A Fond du Lac woman convicted of abusing two children is going to jail.  Fond du Lac judge Robert Wirtz placed 46 year old  Jeanna Riehl on three years probation with 18 months in the county jail.  Riehl pleaded no contest in January to two counts of child abuse.  According to a criminal complaint Riehl abused two boys over a period of several years, striking them with a rolling pin, cutting […]

Fond du lac police are looking for a suspect in a vandalism incident at the police memorial at Hamilton Park.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says someone poured a sticky substance over the memorial.  "There was some type of substance that was poured over the memorial.  Our community service officers were able to get it cleaned up for the most part,"  Klein told WFDL news.  Klein says its always disturbing […]
