3-13-15 former uw oshkosh student pleads guilty in ricin case

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A former University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh student has pleaded guilty to possession of ricin.  Kyle Allen Smith, 21, of Oshkosh, admitted growing castor beans and extracting ricin, a toxin, in his plea Thursday, the Department of Justice announced. A count of developing a toxin for use as a weapon was dropped in a plea agreement.  Smith faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. It […]

The Fond du Lac High School’sProStart/ Culinary Arts team placed 5th in State out of 23 teams that competed. 3-12-15 fox lake man convicted of sexually assaulting sleeping woman

The Fond du Lac city council has approved purchasing a building for a library expansion project..  At their meeting Wednesday night the council approved  a resolution amending the budget to spend $270,000 for the purchase of the building directly east of the library  on Sheboygan Street.  Library director Jon Mark Bolthouse says the first phase would involve moving the Book Cellar from the library basement to the new building.  The […]
