Campbellsport residents will go to the polls next week to decide a $25 million building referendum. The money would be used to make heating, ventilating, air conditioning and electrical upgrades at Eden Elementary and building remodeling improvements and additions to the Middle-High School. School administrator Paul Amundson says a major portion of the plan is replacing a portion of the building that was built in the 1930s. Amundson says the district has been studying the issue for over two years.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
