A man and woman from Oshkosh have been charged in connection with a robbery at the Guaranty Bank in Fond du Lac last month. Twenty six year old Maranatha Henderson and 35 year old Shafia Jones made their initial Fond du lac court appearance Friday. Judge Dale English ordered $25,000 cash bail for both and a joint preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 10th. The Guaranty Bank inside the West Johnson Street Pick N Save store was robbed on Sunday March 15th and assistant police chief Steve Klein says the suspects were arrested Tuesday night in Oshkosh. Klein says Henderson allegedly entered the bank and gave a note to the teller demanding money.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
