This week’s Fond du Lac city council meeting marked the final meeting for outgoing council president Sam Meyer. Meyer decided against seeking re-election this year. “I’ve appreciated the last two years that the citizens have allowed me to serve them,” Meyer told WFDL news. “I thank my fellow councilmembers for allowing me to lead the last couple years and hope I provided some stability and some input on behalf of the downtown Fond du Lac area.” Meyer says he’s most proud of the accomplishments the city has made in the last couple of years related to development projects in the downtown. The council will hold its organizational meeting April 21st. At the meeting newly elected councilmembers will be sworn into office and the council will elect a new president.
