A portion of Highway 41 in Fond du lac County was closed for a short period of time last night due to a car fire. The state patrol says the southbound lanes of 41 were closed at Hickory Street. The incident was reported at 8pm Sunday. All lanes of traffic reopened about a half hour later.
All dogs in the Fond du Lac Animal Shelter or arriving at the shelter are being vaccinated for canine flu following an outbreak that has sickened many dogs in the Midwest. A 32 year old Montello woman was taken into custody after allegedly shoplifting from a Fond du lac department store and assaulting the store’s loss prevention officer. Police were called to a shoplifting report at Kohl’s Department store in the Forest Mall Saturday afternoon.
