(AP) — Public workers covered under two unions would get a 1 percent raise under a pair of collective bargaining agreements the state Assembly has approved.  The contracts up for approval Tuesday were negotiated by Gov. On Saturday April 11, members of the Fond du Lac High School Forensics Team attended the Wisconsin Forensic Coaches' Association State Tournament. Allyson Balthazor, senior, placed fourth in farrago out of 47 entries. Farrago is a mix of various literary works, fiction and nonfiction, under a theme.  Ally's theme covered anxiety. 4-14-15 ellis street fire

The state Fire Marshal is investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a Fond du lac home.  Firefighters  were called to the scene at 410 Ellis Street early Tuesday morning for a report of the back of the house on fire.   When firefighters arrived on the scene there was smoke and visible flames.  Nearby residents were evacuated.  Two pets perished in the blaze.

4-14-15 fdl man convicted in shooting incident

A Fond du Lac man has been convicted in a shooting last fall outside the Taco Bell restaurant.  Twenty year old Dao Vang pleaded no contest to recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon.  A sentencing hearing is scheduled  for June 26th.  Charges of carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing an officer were dismissed and read into the record.  According to a criminal complaint Vang fired a gun […]
