ADISON, Wis. (AP) — A student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison suffered a broken jaw and lost several teeth after he was attacked in the campus area.  Police say the incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. (AP) — Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources records allege that some employees last year sexually harassed co-workers, ran a sex product business on state time, tried to use their position to avoid a traffic citation and posted insulting remarks about the public online.  An Associated Press review of DNR discipline records found 20 letters reprimanding, suspending or terminating employees last year. 4-13-15 fire forces evacuation of fdl apartment complex

A pan left on the stove apparently started a fire that forced the evacuation of a Fond du Lac apartment complex.  Firefighters were called to the Riverview apartments on Western Avenue near the Fond du Lac River Sunday morning to a report of smoke coming from a second floor apartment.   The fire was quickly extinguished.  No injuries were reported.

4-13-15 fdl chimney fire

Nobody was injured in a chimney fire in Fond du Lac.  Firefighters were called to the scene at 178 University Avenue shortly before midnight Friday to find heavy smoke and flames coming out of the chimney of the single family home.  The residents were unaware their chimney was on fire, but were able to safely evacuate after a passerby knocked on their door.  Fire crews were able to extinguish the […]

4-13-15 former state principal of the year retiring from fdl school district

A former Wisconsin principal of the year is retiring from the Fond du lac School district. Chegwin Elementary School principal, Theresa Loehr, is retiring at the end of the school year. Loehr began her career as an assistant  at Sabish Junior High School in 1996.
