A pan left on the stove apparently started a fire that forced the evacuation of a Fond du Lac apartment complex. Firefighters were called to the Riverview apartments on Western Avenue near the Fond du Lac River Sunday morning to a report of smoke coming from a second floor apartment. The fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
Nobody was injured in a chimney fire in Fond du Lac. A former Wisconsin principal of the year is retiring from the Fond du lac School district. Chegwin Elementary School principal, Theresa Loehr, is retiring at the end of the school year.
