OSWEGO, N.Y. (AP) — A 690-foot freighter that replaced the ill-fated Edmund Fitzgerald as the flagship of a Great Lakes shipping company will be scrapped.  The American Fortitude spent the winter docked at the Port of Oswego, on Lake Ontario in central New York. 4-29-15 waupun prison inmate accused of trying to kill another inmate

A Waupun Correctional Institution inmate faces attempted homicide charges after he allegedly tried to kill another inmate and injured a correctional officer. 28 year old Eric Conner is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide and battery by prisoners. Conner is accused of making a shank and attacking the 27 year old inmate. Following the stabbing, correctional officers spotted the homemade knife and attempted to subdue Conner. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republicans have quietly introduced three bills that would require food stamp users to buy healthy food and applicants for state job training programs and unemployment benefits in certain fields to undergo drug screening.  Rep. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin lawmaker says she wants to double the state's minimum wage, calling the matter a civil rights issue.  At a Tuesday press conference at the Capitol, Rep. Melissa Sargent, a Madison Democrat, introduced a bill that would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
