4-8-15 spring election town races

There were several races for town and village offices.  Ken Lefeber and Stephen Koenigs were elected supervisors in the town of Calumet.   Julie hence-Franke, Tim Stoppleworth and Dennis Steinke were elected Oakfield Village trustees.  Robert Wondra and Kristen Mielke were elected to the Lomira School board.  Mike Streetar was elected as a write in candidate to the North Fond du Lac School Board with 80 votes.

4-8-15 new k9 handler for dodge county sheriff’s office

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has announced the selection of Sergeant Joseph Nicholas as its newest K9 Handler.  Lieutenant Chad Enright will be stepping down as handler and K9 Paige will be reassigned to Sergeant Nicholas.  Acclamation and Training will take place over the next month and they will begin working together on the road in mid-May.  Lieutenant Chad Enright and Sheriff Dale Schmidt came to a mutual decision to […]

4-8-15 inmate drug operation

BARABOO, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a man jailed in Sauk County ran a drug operation from his cell with his girlfriend working as a distributor.  Fifty two year-old Mardi Suggs and his girlfriend, 49-year-old Sherry Fuller, face multiple felony charges. SLINGER, Wis. (AP) — A company that provides home and respite care to elderly and disabled people around Wisconsin plans to end operations next month and lay off its 700 employees.  GeminiCares, based in Slinger, has employees in 11 communities in Wisconsin. 4-8-15 fatal fire-town of black wolf

A fire Monday night has claimed the life of a  Town of Black Wolf man.  The victim has been identified as 64 year old Harold Dekarske.
