Fond du Lac police want to hear from residents about their concerns regarding crime issues in their neighborhood. A community forum is being held at 10am Monday at the Fond du Lac Public library for residents of the central district. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says that covers an area from HWY 45 at the north city limits going south along Brooke St to the south border at 9th Street over to Park Ave. which runs to the north city limits. Klein says these forums often result in tips from the public that police would otherwise be unaware of . A second forum will be held at 6pm Monday May 11th at the library.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
