The Fond du Lac city council will consider an ordinance that would bee keeping in the city of Fond du lac at their meeting Wednesday night. City attorney Deb Hoffman told the city council last month that bee keeping is allowed in a handful of Wisconsin communities and the list appears to be growing. The city could deny a bee keeping permit if adjacent neighbors who may be allergic to bee stings object.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
