Fond du Lac police are investigating what was reported as an unprovoked attack of two teenage boys in Fond du lac over the weekend. Assistant police chief Steve Klein say two 15 year old boys told officers they were riding their bikes home when the incident happened Saturday night in the area of Stow and McKinley Streets. “A vehicle pulled up to the stop sign and one of the male subjects in the vehicle got out, came over to one of the 15 year olds and punched him on the side of the head,’ Klein told WFDL news. “At that point, apparently, a second individual got out of the vehicle came over and apparently kicked the other 15 year old.” Klein says the suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
