5-21-15 fdl court appearance postponed for cold case murder suspect

WFDL news has learned an arraignment hearing  for a Kenosha man charged in the cold case slaying of a Sturdevant teenager in Fond du Lac County has been postponed.   The hearing scheduled for Friday was postponed after the attorney for Dennis Brantner requested a judge substitution.  The case was being heard by circuit  judge Richard Nuss.  A  hearing date will be re-scheduled after a new judge is assigned the case.   Brantner is charged with first degree murder in the 1990 death of Berit Beck.    Brantner is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a million dollars cash bail.
