For a second straight month the Wisconsin housing market grew at a very strong pace. That according to the latest housing market analysis by the Wisconsin Realtors Association. Marquette University economist Dave Clark says existing home sales were up 16.8 percent compared to April of last year and median prices rose nearly 11 percent compared to April 2014. Sales were up in both Dodge and Fond du Lac counties, while the median prices were down in both counties compared to April of last year.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
