The Waupun Fire Department in partnership with the Wisconsin Propane Education and Research Council (WiPERC) is holding a live fire training on Monday, June 15th, 2015 at 6:00 PM. Approximately 50-80 fire fighters from the Waupun Fire Department and surrounding fire departments in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties are expected to attend. Local media and other observers are welcome to watch the live fire training beginning at approximately 7 PM.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
