Authorities have identified the man killed in an apartment fire in Waupun. Waupun Fire Chief B.J DeMaa says the victim has been identified as 54 year old Todd Conn. He was found dead in his apartment. DeMaa says the state fire marshal is involved in the investigation but the cause is not believed to be suspicious. Bail was set at $100,000 cash for a Brandon man charged with possession of child pornography. Thirty eight year old Scott Knuuttila made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Thursday. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says there is also an active investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving Knuuttila .

Nobody was seriously injured in a three vehicle accident on West Johnson Street. Shortly before 5pm Thursday rescue personnel were called to the scene on West Johnson near the Forest Mall after receiving a report that one person may have been trapped in a vehicle. But when the ambulance arrived all of the occupants were out of their vehicles. One person received what were described as “very minor” injuries.
