The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction says four new religious private schools will be added to the statewide voucher program starting next year including Central Wisconsin Christian School in Waupun.  The department said Thursday that more than 3,540 students have applied to receive a taxpayer-funded voucher to attend private and religious schools. 5-14-15 fdl woman reaches deferred prosecution agreement in puppy bleach case

A Fond du Lac woman charged in connection with an animal cruelty case  has reached a deferred  prosecution agreement.  As part of the agreement Amanda Farr has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of party to the crime of giving animals poison and intentionally abandoning an animal.  Several other charges were dismissed.  Judge Gary Sharpe ordered a deferred sentence totaling three years confinement provided she meets certain conditions.    According […]

5-14-15 speed limit bill passes

Tourists could be legally driving 70 mph on some Wisconsin highways this summer.  The state Assembly on Wednesday passed the speed limit increase bill. Its chief sponsor, Rep.
