Moraine Park Technical College has announced Steven N. Little, President and CEO of Agnesian HealthCare, as their 2015 Commencement keynote speaker.  The College’s 2015 Commencement Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at the Fond du Lac High School Field House. 5-5-15 fdl street closure

Starting Friday the intersection of West Division Street and Brooke Street in  Fond du Lac will be closed for utility repair work.  The road closure is expected to last about a week.  Businesses on Division Street within the construction zone will remain open to customer traffic. Traffic to the businesses will need to use Military Road or Doty Street.  There will be no marked detour routes.

On May 4, 2015 at 3:36 p.m. City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue was called for a house on fire at 37 South Reserve Avenue.  Upon arrival fire crews reported light smoke coming from the attic.  Fire crews found a small fire in the attic and extinguish it with very little damage.  They ventilated the attic and provided salvage and overhaul to protect the residents belongings.  The fire appears to be […]

The director of the Fond du Lac convention and visitors bureau says he’s pleased to see tourism spending is up locally and statewide.  The state department of tourism says for the first time in four years tourism spending was up last year in every Wisconsin county.  Fond du Lac convention and visitors bureau director Craig Molitor says that’s been the case in Fond du Lac for the last few years. 5-5-15 hobbs woods vandals

The Fond du Lac County Parks director says recent  acts of vandalism at the Hobbs Woods recreation trail  are disturbing.  Sam Tobias says vandals have been breaking ash tree saplings to make forts and also building what appear to be mountain bike trails on the southern end of the park and  illegally spearing fish in the creek.  Tobais says there has also been paintball related vandalism at the park.

MENASHA, Wis. (AP) — Police have revealed more about what may have motivated a gunman to shoot four strangers before killing himself on a recreational bridge in Menasha.  The city's police chief, Tim Styka identified the dead Monday as 33-year-old Jonathan Stoffel, of Neenah, his 11-year-old daughter, Olivia Stoffel, and 31-year-old Adam Bentdahl of Appleton. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A relative of the man and girl who died when a university student opened fire along a biking trail in Menasha says the family loved the outdoors.  Jonathan Stoffel, his 11-year-old daughter Olivia, and 31-year-old Adam Bentdahl were killed when Sergio Daniel Valencia del Toro opened fire along the path Sunday.
