5-26-15 texting driver causes accident on hwy 41

Nobody was injured in a two vehicle accident on Highway 41 that backed up traffic for several miles.  The accident happened over the noon hour on 41 near Lomira.  Investigators say a female driver was apparently texting and lost control of her vehicle.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Customers of Wisconsin's largest utility caught a break this past winter.  After paying almost $800 to keep warm during the "polar vortex" winter of 2013-14, bills for a typical We Energies customer were down by almost $190 for the six-month heating season that ended April 30. 5-26-15 oshkosh man dies in atv crash

MOUNTAIN, Wis. (AP) — An Oshkosh man has died in an ATV crash in Oconto County of northeastern Wisconsin.  The sheriff's office says the 35-year-old man failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road and crashed into a large group of trees near Mountain.  Another driver came upon the scene and reported the crash around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.  The victim died later at a hospital. 5-26-15 federal court rules against hwy 23 expansion project

On Friday, the U.S. Eastern District Court upheld claims in a lawsuit filed by 1000 Friends of  Wisconsin and cut off federal funding for the Highway 23 road expansion project  between Fond du Lac and Plymouth.
