MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republicans who control the Legislature's finance committee say they're going to reject Gov. Scott Walker's cuts to Wisconsin's popular SeniorCare program.  Gov. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. For a second straight month the Wisconsin housing market grew at a very strong  pace.  That according to the latest housing market analysis by the Wisconsin Realtors Association.  Marquette University economist Dave Clark says existing home sales were up 16.8 percent compared to April of last year and median prices rose nearly 11 percent compared to April 2014.  Sales were up in both Dodge and Fond du Lac counties, while […]

AAA projects 37.2 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.  State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says that’s a 4.7 percent increase from the 35.5 million people who traveled last year and the highest travel volume for the holiday in 10 years.  In Wisconsin nearly 781,000 people will be traveling for the holiday weekend, a 4.9 percent increase from 2014.  While gas […]

The National Weather Service says rain and thunderstorms threaten to put a damper on Memorial Day barbeques around Wisconsin.  National Weather Service meteorologist Justin Schultz says the holiday weekend will get off to a nice start with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s Saturday.  Schultz says a low pressure system moving into the state brings a chance of rain later into the weekend Sunday and on Memorial Day.
