6-2-15 roberts elementary student wins writing contest

Lauren Pentek, a kindergartener at Roberts Elementary School, was recently notified that her entry in the 2015 PBS Kids Writer’s contest took first place in her grade category for the competition.  Children in kindergarten through third grade were invited to submit their originally written and illustrated stories by March 13, 2015. The local contest, sponsored by the Educational Communications Board and Wisconsin Public Television (WPT), gives youngsters an opportunity to expand their creative skills in the areas of storytelling, writing and drawing.
