The chairman of the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Exploratory committee says the committee will be making specific recommendations for changes at the park this month. John Short says over the past several months the committee has come up with dozens of ideas in hopes of attracting more people to Lakeside Park. Short says at the top of the list is creating more walking and biking paths. “I think that is definately going to be there. Some way of expanding the ability of people who want to come to the park for more recreational kinds of things that involve walking, riding a bicycle, connecting the biking loop,” Short told WFDL news. Short says also near the top of the list is making space available for concerts at the park outside of the many festivals and gatherings that are already held at the park. Short says a restaurant on the park is still on the table as well. The committee will hold its final meeting next week and will make specific recommendations at the June 24th city council meeting.
