A Mount Calvary nursing home is joining Agnesian HealthCare. The Sister Servants of Christ the King has entered into a Letter of Intent for Villa Loretto and Villa Rosa to become part of Agnesian. Villa Loretto has been operating since 1965 as a licensed skilled nursing home, caring for hundreds of residents in Mount Calvary and surrounding communities. General Superior Sister Stephen Bloesl said with the number of Sisters in the congregation on the decline iit became necessary to think about the future and how to best meet the needs of the people they serve. Sister Bloesl says Agnesian is the best fit for their residents, staff and community.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
